Summary:
Perform patient evaluation and treatments under direction of a physician's order and the guidelines of all State, Federal, and Professional laws and regulations.
To complete all required documentation and billing of such services to ensure high quality patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
Minimum Qualification:
Education/Licensure:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
Maintains a current active license in the state of practice.
Maintains a certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Experience:
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship is required.
A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing therapist in the healthcare field is strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive patient evaluations as ordered under the direction of a physicianDevelop and implements an individualized plan of care to meet patient's and family's goals in order to restore and or maintain a patient's highest level of function and quality of life through the utilization of selected speech therapy procedures including assessment, treatment, and behavior management principles and procedures for adult communication, cognitive, and swallowing disordersCommunicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive medical and rehabilitation servicesConsult with physicians concerning goals and treatments and monitors for any contradictions to treatmentComplete comprehensive documentation of all services as required by the facilities policies and proceduresDocument and complete all billing requirements for such services as required by each payor source and/or facilities policies and proceduresMaintain accurate and complete company timekeepingParticipate with appropriate discharge planning including family meetings, home evaluation and/or family/patient education and training.
Assist in the assurance that the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and free from conditions which may cause safety hazardsPerform other duties as assignedAbout the Company:
